Slaidburn is a conservation village in the beautiful Hodder Valley. The village is the centre of a scattered rural community in the heart of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The new village hall is built on the edge of the Village Green with breathtaking views over and across the Green and the River Hodder. The bowling green is situated behind the hall over skin croft where the local hatters used to dry their pelts.
The village hall which was opened in 2007 as a multi purpose building finished to a far higher standard than normally associated with village halls. The hall is one of a series of community resource centres developed across Lancashire to provide access to a wide range of services and activities which are not often available in rural areas.
Slaidburn Village Hall provides a fine venue for a wide range of of events for the local community and for public, private and corporate functions.
