Hodder Valley Rememberance Day
On Remembrance Sunday each year the Church is packed for a traditional service with the Slaidburn Silver Band in attendance. Whatever the weather, the band then lead the congregation up Church Street and down Chapel Street to the Cenotaph. Traffic is stopped, drivers are asked to turn off their engines and a short but moving ceremony takes place with the band playing traditional pieces. |
