Slaidburn Young Farmers Club was founded in 1934 and was originally part of the Yorkshire Federation.  Due to the boundary changes in the early 1970s, Slaidburn YFC became part of the Lancashire Federation and became the oldest club in Lancashire.

Slaidburn Young Farmers Club is open to young people aged between 10 and 26 years of age. The club is run by the older club members, but all members get to help choose what kind of meetings are held. Everyone is welcome at young farmers and you don’t need to come from farming families to be a member. Meetings include talks in the village hall, evenings spent stockjudging, and trips out ice skating and ten pin bowling. Members get the chance to take part in competitions such as public speaking, quizzes, stockjudging, craft competitions and sports competitions. Members get to compete against the other clubs in the Bowland Region that is Clitheroe YFC, Bolton by Bowland YFC, Chipping YFC, Samlesbury YFC and Pendle YFC.

Slaidburn Young Farmers Club meets on Monday evenings at 7.30pm in Slaidburn Village Hall.
